Film Viewing - Discussion Portion

June 14, 2022

Suppressed: The Fight to Vote by Robert Greenwald and Produced by Brave New Films, this 35-minute documentary chronicles the 2018 midterm election in Georgia where people faced polling place closures, voter purges, missing absentee ballots and extreme wait times — disproportionately preventing students and people of color from voting. We viewed the longer and updated 2020 version but the shorter 2018 version of the film may be viewed here.
