It's Map Drawing Time!

This week the Census Bureau is releasing the long-awaited data needed to draw local, state, and congressional district maps. Tune into the Census Bureau press conference onAug. 12 at 1 pm ET online. It is time to draw our maps!

Because COVID-19 extended the data collection timeframe, this year the census data is delayed, cutting the timeline for redistricting for many states. With map submission deadlines fast approaching,it’s important that we get involved in drawing our communities' maps now!

Everyone can get involved!

Through our partnership with CHARGE (Coalition Hub Advancing Redistricting & Grassroots Engagement), we have resources for how you can be a voice for your community in the map-drawing process. Visit CHARGE’s redistricting community college where you can find upcoming trainings and recordings of previous trainings to help prepare you to participate in your community.

We are also partnering with Campaign Legal Center to host #FairMapsforAllTwitterstorm, on Aug. 12 at 2 pm ET, urging everyone to get involved in the map drawing process. We invite you to participate and encourage your family and friends to use their voice to ensure #FairMapsforAll. Use this toolkit to participate and speak up for fair maps.

For more ways to get involved, we invite you to join us on OutreachCircle, where you can take action to secure fair and equitable maps in your community.

Thank you for raising your voice for fair maps!
